The Making of a Maptote

Don’t let our simple cotton totes fool you, a lot of work goes into each and every one of our Maptotes.  We personally source our fabric.  All our totes are made with US cotton.  The fabric is cut, sewn and printed local to us here in Brooklyn, NY.  We love visiting our factories so that we can watch our products being made and know exactly who is making them.  We’re very hands on through the entire process, even if it makes us crazy sometimes but we wouldn’t have it any other way. The above images are a sneak peek of the journey a Maptote takes (design, cutting, sewing, printing and shipping) to make it onto your shoulder. Enjoy!

Would like to purchase a grocery tote highlighting Somerville (Massachusetts) – but it appears that you are required to purchase aquantity amount of 144 (minimum) – I wanted to give this bag to my daughter-in-law for her birthday and would only need 1.

Can you give me direction on how I might purchase just 1 of these totes indicating Somerville?

    Thank you.

    Hi Shirley-

We actually made a Somerville Maptote. It is being sold exclusively at http://www.magpie-store.com/ in Somervile, MA. They may also be selling it on their website
