A Greener Maptote 🌎 ♻️

We love seeing more plastic bag bans being introduced across the world. Our locally made totes were created as an alternative to plastic bags all the way back in 2006. Living greener is always a work in progress, and we as a company are always seeking ways to evolve. This year we are committed to reducing our plastic use and have implemented 100% recycled poly-mailers for all retail orders. Going forward, we are looking to introduce a paper packaging tape for larger shipments. Send Mother Earth some love today & always!

We’re always looking for creative ways to give our purchases a second life! What are your favorite ways to upcycle?

Sweet Treats From Team Maptote 💛

The tables almost set! Do you have your menu down for Turkey Day? We thought we’d share some of our team’s favorite holiday recipes on the blog today to get you in the mood for food! It just so happens that our crew is the sweetest.

Our fall intern Jamie hails from Nashville, Tennessee and was kind enough to share her family’s Chess Square recipe. She says its a southern staple and a must have at all her family holidays!

Our Wholesale assistant Yesenia gave out her holiday pie secret – a foolproof crust recipe that she says is great for any pie – savory or sweet! For a twist on a classic, our designer Kelsey suggests pairing the crust with a salted caramel apple filling, which she learned from our Gowanus, Brooklyn neighbors Four & Twenty Blackbirds.

Maptote founders Michael & Rachel tried Coquito for the first time last winter and knew they had to make their own! This recipe is perfect for a creamy and delicious drink after dinner… Or breakfast because hey you’re on vacation 😉
